1. As someone who had a major sugar addiction,

and have the damaged dentition to prove it (As a child, I would sneak candy to bed
and bathe my teeth in sugar.) it is not the food that is our enemy. Our battle is with
ourselves.

We must retrain our brains to choose healthy foods and to do that we must eat
healthy foods until our bodies choose these foods over the unhealthy ones.

I am now at the place where I can eat sugar on occasion; but do not crave it.
I eat a low glycemic diet with lots of vegetables and some fruit. I have happily maintained
a sixty pound weight loss for over nearly eleven years with this eating plan.
