My mom could have scored 20 on him. He's a lazy defensive player. Terrific on the other end. Little effort on the other end.

There have been really bad defenders, but some of them are just bad. Not lack of effort. Ben Gordon and James Worthy come to mind. They weren't lazy defenders, they just had really poor instincts for it and overplayed moves a lot. Carmelo barely tries.
