diabetes caused by parasite? [View all]

i've been getting these "cure diabetes by killing parasites " shorts on u tube. i'm curious, pf course, and when dr oz pops up shilling this i wanted to know more.

1. they never name the parasite.
2. after listening to these "experts" talk for minutes promising to tell the secret cinnamon recipe, but never really saying anything, i "did my own research.

But Merlin Thomas3, a diabetes expert at Monash University, said type 2 diabetes is not caused by a parasite.

"The notion that type 2 diabetes is caused by a 'corrosive parasite that blocks the pancreas and prevents insulin production' does not pass the fact check on any level," Professor Thomas said.

i use cinnamon, and it does help a little with the glucose level, i think as a substitute for other sweeteners, but this "parasite" might be more dr oz bullshit.
