It was much darker than expected, but still brilliant. Colin Farrell deserves an academy award for his performance. The woman who played his sister does, also. The movie shows Ireland's dark side. Small town bickering, holding grudges, lack of culture. Gorgeous cinematography. I laughed frequently along with much of the audience. My husband didn't laugh at all. Nevertheless, he loved it as well.
