I remember her best for her role as the feisty Stacy Sutton in View to a Kill.

Hers was arguably the last of the 'damsels in distress' roles in the Bond series - given that in every Bond movie since, the female lead has been expected to be just as capable in combat as Bond himself.

And while that change toward more heroic female leads was certainly a welcome one, there's something to be said for the quaint feminine charm of a role like Roberts' as Stacy Sutton.

But she was no pushover.

Tanya Roberts as Stacy Sutton, fending off Max Zorin's goons in A View of a Kill.

The shotgun was filled with rock salt - but packed a wallop.
