2. I saw it in the theater too.

Remember back in those days there was no way to see them on a screen. No YouTube, no videos. You could not play or replay anything at will. You either saw them in person, you saw them live on TV (no VCR!), or you saw them at the movies. Those girls were trying to memorize every moment and I'm sure they relived it when they were home, writing in their diaries about it, etc. Many girls saw that movie over and over.

We had their records with their voices and we had the teen magazines with their mostly black and white pictures and that was it!
