2. You ARE buying a ticket every time

You pay moviepass $10 a month.

You get a credit card from moviepass.

You use that to buy the ticket. Moviepass pays the full ticket price each time. They're basically buying your analytics of what you see and when and how many times and are selling/collating that data for use.

With a couple of years of this they'll see trends of what types of movies do better at certain seasons than others and that can guide what's put in production, or scheduled, etc.

More data isn't always a good thing but there's a lot to be mined from this that can change the experience for the better.
