One of the reasons my ex and I decided to have our second child was because we wanted one sibling to always have the other and feel not so alone when we passed. As far as the brothers getting along, I believe it's hit or miss; some of it may be birth order and parenting, but ninety percent boils down to personalities and luck.

I hope you and your brother continue to seek out comfort in each other. Even if you don't have a lot in common, you have that shared family history and that's worth so much.
