Saw "Mark Felt" last night. [View all]

I decided to go to a late showing by myself. As I was leaving, I told my boys and they wanted to know why I didn't invite them too. (We usually go to late movies together.) I told them they probably wouldn't enjoy it because it was more history that I lived. They were affronted and pointed out that the movie was more relevant than ever and they wanted to see it. I was shocked. My boys are twenty and twenty-four and, although I knew they were familiar with Watergate, I didn't have a clue they knew about Deep Throat and Mark Felt. Anyway, it was half-price Tuesday so I sprung for their tickets. We were the only three in the theater. I thought the film was a little dry but OK. The boys liked it more and soon as we got home, around 12:30 a.m., they got on their laptops and started researching more about Watergate, Washington Post, etc.

I now think that it would be a good field trip for high-school journalism clubs, political science, history.
