6. Just saw it last night. It was good - not fabulous. My take

Hanks grimaced too much. Wife acted flaky. Rylance was perfect - fell in love with him and cried over him. Hanks' son was totally unbelievable - no child studied nuclear war like he did - none.

My take was that there wasn't enough plot substance. Short on plot and they expanded it out to fill a whole movie. Surely they could have added more meat to it.

Agree Paladin - it did make America look good - but then - what about all those crazies who hit his house and sneered at him on train? It's like - if you have leaders who do the right thing - then maybe eventually the people will follow?
