1. Wow! What an impressive life this man lived.

He was an aviator in two World Wars. During the first one, he was a prisoner of the Russians for nine months until he escaped. He wrote and produced "King Kong" (1933). He was a co-founder of Pan Am Airlines. He helped to establish the India-to-China "Burma Hump" supply route in World War II. He was a co-inventor Cinerama. He worked with John Ford during and after the Second World War. He was executive producer of John Ford's "The Searchers (1956) which is my all-time favorite movie. He packed an incredible amount of living in his eighty years of life.
