Thanks for making that connection for us, Jilly!

The courage it must have taken to say yes, knowing society would judge her. Yet also her knowledge that in saying yes, God would use her child to lift up the downtrend and cast down the rich and haughty.

Her “Magnificat” is one of many reasons I have hope in these dark times. God / Allah is on the side of the least, last, and lost.
