Ram Dass's message has long been one of unity. He was born into a Jewish family, but found the way of his spirit through a Hindu guru called Neem Karoli Baba and also known as Maharaj-ji. Ram Dass has spent the last nearly 50 years spreading his message here in America. The building of a new ashram dedicated to Maharaj-ji and the Hindu god Hanuman has almost been completed in New Mexico.
