Other ways to handle this would be significant taxes on gun accumulators, certain types of gunz, toting, etc. The tax money would be used to promote alternatives to guns, non-NRA training, Anti-gun culture ads, promotional efforts to teach young girls that gun fanciers are not desirable (Ok, maybe a bit much), etc.
