validates the fact they need a closet full or guns and one or two strapped to their body to go to the store.

Hardcore gunners need at least one gun for every threat they think they face. GAS (Gun Acquisition Syndrome) is an affliction common among white wing racists particularly. So some of the recent sales are celebration of Trump's "Make America White Again" campaign.
