Get answers from independent, 3rd party sources, not people being paid commissions based on your choices.
Timing of claiming Medicare can be tricky, so understand the vocabulary and schedules.
Contributing to an HSA within 6 months of starting Medicare will increase your premiums forever.
Be VERY careful about Medicare Advantage. If something sounds too good to be true, it often is. READ the fine print.
People get paid to SELL Medicare Advantage. The agents make substantial commissions. The companies make money by paying out less in claims and commissions than what they get from the government. Guess who gets short changed?
Once you take an advantage plan, you can NEVER go back to regular Medicare.
Your Advantage plan usually will not follow or cover you if you move.
Medicare Advantage programs can require approvals before treatments (and delay or possibly deny treatments).
