I was looking at telescopes--got a used cheap one, and a friend gave me a slightly better one. I live in the city, so not much joy. THEN I read "start with a good pair of binoculars" argh. Fortunately there is a guy with a fabulous telescope who sets up at a local lake and does free 'viewings'

It's just not the same. Maybe when my daughter settles in her country home I'll pursue it again, within my means. Won't get sucked in. Won't. Get. Sucked. In. Yikes!
