Of course if you posted the other variants, many of the people using it would have a fucking fit.

"If you don't live in China, you can't complain about pollution!"

"If you don't live in Congo, you can't complain about poverty!"

"If you don't live in Honduras you can't complain about violence!"

"If you don't live in Saudi Arabia, you can't complain about religious oppression!"

The reason those all sound like right wing arguments is because they ARE conservative/right wing arguments. They're defenses of the status quo.
