Part of the patriarchal construction of masculinity is the ability to conquer females with charm or by other means. If a young man fails to do so he is a "loser" or, worse yet, gay. Indeed, the phrase "become a man" means a male's first sexual experience with a female (ironically giving females the power to decide who is a real man and who is not). So, eliminating patriarchal gender constructions defuses the social pressure on a young man to "score." Consequently, there is less motivation for men to become stalkers and rapists.
