Bank of England governor Mark Carney last night dismissed proposals to cap bankers’ bonuses as ‘crude’ measures that will fail.
(that was a comment from Jan)

and here is his most recent argument AGAINST prosecuting bankers:

A jail filled with reckless bankers would only offer some cold comfort, but hardly pose a deterrent or boost public confidence.
Merely prosecuting the guilty to the full extent of the law will not be sufficient to address the issues raised.”
