6. Not really a technical problem

There might be a bit of an infrastructure problem since all the intercity cables are owned by telecoms and/or governments.

I wonder if anybody has ever tried sending internet packets over short wave radio, or like HAM radio.

It would probably be good if we could keep data communications up in case the internet ever gets shut down because of an emergency.
