Apart from the fact that anyone using Outlook is using a pretty insecure piece of ... software to start with, then there is the matter that all companies providing software to US agencies are required to submit details of encryption coding and source code so the US government does not get ripped off ...

If you want security you must use a proprietary 256 bit encryption program, Boffin has a good list; never, ever use the encryption provided by your OS provider or your e-mail client or your browser. Note, however, that if you do come under suspicion then law enforcement can come to you and demand your encryption key and if you do not provide it you go to jail.
