1. I don't disagree with the sentiment

The game favors the rich in a big way and we deserve a bigger voice and a level playing field.

But I don't think taxes are too high for most of us (only about half even pay a federal income tax, which is good) and states and federal government are actually doing a lot to support people already, like free education, food vouchers, housing assistance, and free medical care. As a Democrat, I think we can do it more and do it more effectively, but I dont think the hyperbole in your OP helps that cause.
