The use of guys is not an inclusive term.

I know that corporate language programs are teaching that calling everyone guys is the custom in the US . This is unfortunate. I think this is a part of the backlash against women currently sweeping the US.and has brought us Trump and a Supreme Court majority that has taken away our human right to bodily autonomy. This is fast becoming a matter of life and death for girls and women many of whom are being denied basic life-saving health care.

All over America people are standing up in legislatures and public spaces and stating tha women’s lives are worth less than potential lives. One can addressaudiences as Guys and Gals to include women but better to use the truly inclusive “people” or “all.”

If you think this is petty or untrue consider this: If I address an all male audience in the US as Hi gals, the audience first gets quiet, then fidgets, then I hear nervous laughter, and Begin to express anger. Why, because many men in the USstill do not consider women full equal human beings and we need to move beyond that now.

I ask you respectfUlly to consider this and not post videos that do not use inclusive greetings.
