1. My grandfather lived on Pine street and his neighbors were a nice Japanese family.

They rang his doorbell one night and the father asked my grandfather if he could keep a chest filled with family pictures and papers. My Grandfather put it in his closet and the next day the neighbors were taken away to an internment camp. They were gone for 3 years and finally released the father came for the chest that was in the closet. My Dad was friends the rest of his life with the son who was our family mechanic. I never heard of those camps growing up until I was in college and asked my Dad about it and he told me this story.

When I hear of the orange monster wanting to round up and deport people who were escaping the horrors of drug gangs and climate disasters I get so angry the orange monster used it as a campaign issue.
