My question is how do people in pain meditate at all? I don't have chronic pain, but have been through the kind of pain where it's the only thing on my mind (sciatic, kidney stones.) There was no way I was going to have any successful meditation during those times.

So how do people with chronic pain manage to successfully meditate, or to do so enough to lessen the pain? Like I said, I don't know what chronic pain is like, so maybe someone can educate me on how this would work for them
