(8,855 posts)143. It was in both hemispheres
of her frontal lobes, a so-called "butterfly tumor."
Its location affected memory and impulse control. Radiation and chemo kept it stable for almost four years, but then stopped working.
She died at home, for which I'm grateful. We had excellent medical care, and then an excellent hospice team.
The grief is still overwhelming at times. But I'm also grateful for having had her in my life.
