I put my carpentry skills to the test. A very unusual layout here, with gutters ending at both sides of the main window, and exposed to the wind somewhat from below, since I am on a ridge.

I capped the ends with 12 inch boards and secured everything the best I could.

Weather humbles us all. And others have it worse. I'm thankful I can do all this and for a sturdy ladder with arms to hold it very securely.
