I ask, how they know that God doesn't value those who rely on evidence over faith? I then suggest that perhaps He uses religion, faith, and worship as a way to separate the two, sending the faithful to hell and bringing the evidenced-based people into paradise.

The best they can usually answer is "The bible says..." to which the response is "obviously the Bible is a big part of weed out process."
