or me reading some text from a favorite Hal Borland book. Both are students and studiers of nature and the world around them - it gets us off to a start.

Each day since trump's election theft, I've had some level of sadness and disbelief - most days I can push it way down, some days it bubbles up more (its the bleeding heart thing - how he is setting the country back, how his awfulness hurts so many).

But - I am fortunate to have my wife, great friendships with my two daughters (they live distant from us), wonderful cats and a fascinating rescue dog....and so much music, so many books - and I dig into my hobbies.

What's the line - there is no present, because as soon as you ponder it is becomes the past? So as you note, taking things in small chunks - a day is a perfect chunk - and wringing as much out of it as we can is a good way to do it.

I love it when a DUer posts something that makes me ponder about life type things!
