But the section about Zionism is pretty weak. The author should have mentioned that the rise of messianism started in the 12 hundreds and led to multiple large immigration waves to Eretz Yisrael. He doesn't make clear that Aliyah predated Zionism by hundreds of years, and it's origins are based on Torah and Aliyah, but was securalized by the early 20 century proponents.
