I'll give several reasons why not, but first let me state I am a citizen of Michigan who proudly voted for her in 2018, who has followed her career for many years.
1: Gretchen Whitmer was just elected Governor in 2018, just 2 years ago. If you don't think the right wing will hurl back at us the term :Half-Governor" then you must know a different right wing than a do.
2:The right wing will also accuse her of "cutting and running" from the problems in this state.
3: We still need her here in Michigan to undo the damage left by the toxic Snyder administration. That's why we elected three strong women to the top posts here.
4: It takes far more than "chemistry" to be an effective VP. Seriously.

I respect and admire Gretchen Whitmer, but I would honestly prefer someone else for the reason I've stated.
