He can cover up for child rapists but he wants to damn people in healthy adult relationships. Hypocrisy at its best. It's fine to fuck children and hide it, the real sin is to fall in love with someone of the same sex and announce it to the world. It's the lack of guilt or shame that the Catholic church can't abide.
