Christian petition mistakenly asks Netflix to cancel Amazon Prime show 'Good Omens' [View all]

The Hill

More than 20,000 people have signed onto a Christian petition asking Netflix to cancel a "blasphemous" TV series, citing complaints including God being “voiced by a woman” and a friendship between an angel and a demon — but the show actually streams on Amazon Prime.

The online petition seeks to have “Good Omens,” a show on Amazon Prime that tells the story of a demon and an angel who team up to defeat the antichrist and prevent the apocalypse, removed from Netflix.

As first reported by The Guardian, the effort is being orchestrated by the Return to Order campaign, which brands itself as a “special campaigns of The Foundation for a Christian Civilization” online.

The group lists a number of ways in the petition in which it believes the series “presents devils and Satanists as normal and even good, where they merely have a different way of being, and mocks God's wisdom.”
