I’m suspicious that the plethora of reports attempting to hang the evil sins of decades of abuse around the neck of the one man who has consistently pushed the church in a direction of peace and tolerance are part of an agenda. The world is being taken over by fascists and oligarchs.

Remember the popularity he had in washing the feet of homeless, softening church positions against homosexuality and divorce, focusing on the poor, objecting to war?

The fascists and oligarchs do not want a leader on the world stage who has influence against them. Rightwingers within the church would like to have Benedict back, or someone like him.
