That text is half my Ranger2na's Bear Safety Talk I recited three times, at least, daily.

Each of those bears weighs in at a minimum of 400lbs, think of a chonky, furry octopus made of muscle and sharp knives with a vice grip on top... if you can. I used to haul a couple hides around for my demonstrations, I couldn't lift them myself.

So the lesson is Bear Spray 99% of the time. There are few situations where it will not be effective in saving your life. Learn how it works and how to use it if you plan on venturing into bear country.
