Mass Effect is very story driven and you need to play all three games in order to get the full experience. Your save file from the first game gets imported into the sequels so decisions you make in one game will effect what happens in the sequels. The story changes in major ways depending on hundreds of different decisions you make throughout the story line, it is brilliant storytelling but to truly see that brilliance you need to play the whole series. So yes Mass Effect 3 is a good game, but no it is not for you. It will be for you once you beat the first two games, but you will be depriving yourself with a huge part of the experience if you play Mass Effect 3 first.
