9. I have played the original Tales of Symphonia (gamecube)

And it is one of my all time favorites. You get that game and its sequel (wii) together in chronicles for the PS3. Chronicles is a HD remake of these games so expect the graphics to be a bit dated.

I also loved Tales of the Abyss (PS 2) and Tales of Phantasia (SNES) but those aren't ps3 games

I am starting to work my way through on Xillia but I don't like it as much as I did symphonia. It seems to be taking some elements from FF series by dropping the world map for more of a linear world like FFX.

It also made the way your character grows more like world of warcraft talents. Open this grid and attack X does 5% more crit, you have a chance of resisting X, and so on.

Its not bad, and probably will pick up once I get a bit further through it, just that it feels kinda meh in comparison.

Just so you know, all tales games are story and dialogue heavy. I know a lot of people don't like that so that is something to consider.

I edited in some IGN reviews if that will help.
