I got a socket installed on my wicked ass two handed sword for my crusader instead of "increases pickup yardage" or some other silly property. I promptly slapped the biggest ruby I had in that and the owning was on.

I love my monk, but the Crusader just kicks ass so far when played and geared correctly.
