Thanks to the always-on DRM people with the boxed copy will still have to connect to those same servers anyway. I guess Amazon is hoping that by the time people receive the boxed copy EA will have sorted out the server issues.
But hey, if they really want the digital copy they can always buy it on Stea... oh, wait.
