3. As a lifelong Bears fan...

I still have night terrors seeing Jay Cutler on the sidelines of that NFC Championship game and Caleb Heine throwing a pick-6 to BJ Raji, all 350 pounds of him, to provide the coup de gras on that season.

I am not at all confident about this game either.

This is going to be the 3rd Bears-Packers game in 6 weeks! All of the last 4 such games (in 2024 and 2025) have been decided on literally the last play of the game ('24 - blocked FG and made FG, '25 INT and TD in the endzone). But my trepidation is more due to the fact that despite one of the most dramatic wins in franchise history 3 weeks ago, the Bears were dead to rights down 16-6 with 2:00 to play and a FG en route that failed to go through before the 2:00 warning.

What followed - recovered onside kick, game tying TD on 4th and goal, OT stop on 3rd and 1 (Edwards open field tackle on one of the greatest tackles in recent memory), fumble on 4th and 1, Caleb-to-Moore 46-yd GW TD... could not be replicated if you ran the same scenario through a thousand simulations...

I try to console myself with thoughts that this team is at least a year (if not two) ahead of schedule this year, and that Johnson's first year and changes to the direction of the franchise are miraculous in and of themselves...but then I realize its the damn Packers, again.
