Sequon Barkley is the MVP. If not, Jared Goff, even though Lamar Jackson might have better stats. Goff has looked phenomenal and his completion percentage is stellar. He would be awarded for his team's success, I expect. But breaking Dickerson's record in an era when running backs are considered fungible is an amazing accomplishment. It's a bit unusual for a non-quarterback to get the award, because almost everyone considers the position the most important in sports. That's why I think Barkley only gets MVP if he breaks the record.
