I had to smile at the suggestion that Tom Brady was probably watching him and salivating in anticipation of the upcoming game on Thursday, as Brady was busy during the Jets/Bucs game playing against the Bills...

but anyway...

I didn't watch the Jets game either, but did see the final infamous moments that gave the Jets the win. If not for the stupid Bucs penalty...

Will have a chance to see them Thursday and get a real peek at Smith's performance.

If he manages to win a few games while Sanchez is out recovering from his injury, I wouldn't be surprised to see him get the starting QB job.

If he manages to win a few games more than Sanchez did last season and Rex Ryan leaves him in, it's possible Ryan could avoid being fired. Maybe.

Should be an interesting few weeks
