My husband is a fourteen-year lymphoma survivor, a healthy man who has an as-yet incurable but very treatable cancer, just like Cookie. For the past two days, since we read this amazing article, we have been talking about how similar our experiences in the beginning were to theirs and praying that, in the long run, their experience will be similar to ours: good health, treatment rarely needed.
