One was a pedestrian hit by a driver and thrown into the path of the driverless car which tried to stop.

How about an investigation into the 20 pedestrian deaths in 2022 from driver operated cars? and the almost 3,000 injurise in 2022 from driver operaed vehicles?

Your chances of surviving a collision by one of these driverless cars is probably approaching 100%. While being smashed by a 5,000 pound speeding wall is probably below 50%.
