I know a lot of people look at sports as something different than another industry but it is the same for the players who are also the labor when it comes to the business side of the equation. What is best for the labor is what is best for the economy and when it comes to sports it also is what is best for the sport as well. Most people wouldn't put up with being unable to leave their job for better opportunities elsewhere. The pro sports leagues still have the draft.
