1. This will kill sports at most colleges

The overwhelming majority of colleges lose money hand over fist on athletics. Outside of the Big 10 there are only about a dozen teams that break even or better.

With conferences expanding geographically, the cost of transportation for the nonrevenue sports has exploded.

Just 10 years ago the university of Cincinnati lost over _5 million going to the orange bowl and more than 20 million total when they were in the big east.

The MAC, WAC, etc should just drop them all and cut costs for normal students
