I got Scrivener long ago when it was cheap but have not done any "serious" writing yet.

I chose it over Ulysses. Now Scrivener appears to be a one-time purchase whereas Ulysses is like so many a ?8((8;6,7 subscription.

I must be a version or two behind the curve.
