Actually, I finished that book and it was published decades ago. It got good reviews and moderate sales and then vanished, as most books do. Having it come back to life even to this degree after all this time is delightful. (I got the rights back and reissued it myself a few years ago, and that edition sells moderately, too, so it didn't quite vanish.)
