4. Several years ago I worked part-time in one of the better ladies' retail shops.

About once every 3 weeks or so we would find a pile of clothes on the floor in one of the dressing rooms and it was obvious that a customer had used them to soak up urine. Eventually we determined that it was one of our best customers because she was seen leaving the dressing room. When the manager confronted her, she showed no shame or remorse or embarrassment, just said that the store should be glad she spent so much with us. I guess we were lucky that she didn't defecate as well. It was bad enough that we had to super-clean the stall afterwards and throw away clothes worth hundreds of dollars. The store declined to prosecute her and we heard later that she did the same thing at another store, but that manager was not so forgiving as ours had been.

And this is only one of the crazy things I saw during my short stint in retail.
